    Default polyc to large?

i finished my el saber today, it came out great, he only problem was that the poly c was slightly too large to fit in the blade holder, is this a common problem?

How long have you held on that the holder? I know Tim had a problem with that when he got his shipment of PolyC a while ago. I remember it coming up with LEDs but I don't see why it couldn't have been a problem with EL too.

Sometimes it's off by a hair (.001" or something stupidly small).[]

that must be it because i got the holder over a month or two ago and the polyc just came in today. it saddened me, but i filed the end of the polyc to make it fit, its all good.

Yup, that'll do it. As long as it wasn't too much filing there shouldn't be a problem and Tim is aware that the PolyC he got a bit ago was slightly different.

Yup.. The new polyc would not fit into the holders. I make sure I machine the holders if anyone orders blade materials along with them. Hard to tell who has the old holders though.

Tim I noticed on the poly-c that I just received the the ends where slightly enlargered at the cut point, I had to sand down the ridge at the edge to make it fit the holder.

Yup..thats do to the manufacturer cutting them with some sort of pipe cutter instead of a saw. Next time I order I hope to avoid that.
