This a 1" polycarbonate tube with TCSS diffuser and lit by 7 standard uV leds, this was just a test to see what it would look like not bad over all

Yet another BYB saber, I have always thought this style would make a cool purple saber. It is a 3 watt luxeon with a 1000 ma buckpuck led driver and a 40 inch polycarbonater blade with Tims blade diffuser.

The All-Father wove the skein of your life a long time ago. Go and hide in a hole if you wish, but you won't live one instant longer. Your fate is fixed. Fear profits a man nothing.

I finished my new saber this afternoon it is a one that I have been building for myself. It has a MR FX sound board and one of Corbins LED drivers driving the led. It has a Ultra sabers fiber optic blade.

I've been trying different combinations of purple. 4 AAA,TCSS electronics kit, TCSS Battle Blade.
First, a Lux 3 UV Star:
Second, a white Q5 with 2 purple TCSS filters:
Here is a new one, done with a 3 watt RGB:

The road to knowledge lies in reading
This is a 3/4", 30" long blade with a meter of polypropylene film and semi-reflective mylar on the tip. I'm using a white K2 with the two "most purple" filters from the TCSS 11-disk set, powered with 3aaa 1000mA Ni-MH batteries and a 1999 Hasbro Qui-Gon board. I wish it was brighter, but I'm happy with the color. To me eyes, it looks very close to the purple of Mace's saber in the movies.
In a dimly lit room on a cloudy afternoon.
In a darker room.
Compared with an unmodified Hasbro FX Obi-Wan and my color-changing saber (using aLedEngin RGGB, here with red and green turned on).
EDIT: Doh. After recharging it, the saber is actually somewhat brighter than I first thought.

There's always a bigger fish.
Here is my latest. It is a white K2 with a purple Lee filter.
