I think you could be able to attach other wires to the speaker wires no problem. And I'm not that sure that you could fit all the stuff into a film canister, let alone making nothing touch. I think that's gonna be a B*%&h. But if you can pull it off, more power to 'ya.

How the hell did you guys manage to fit the speaker inside the MHS? Aren't they a tad too big?

With some serious and careful sanding of the speaker you can make it fit but I recommend looking for a different speaker.

Do-Clo, I too would be interested in any alternate speakers you've used.

Ok guys you are about to make a strange face when I tell my source for speakers. I use speakers out of a nextel phone, the older models such as the i1000, i500 and i700 phones. They are a good speaker
8 ohms and 32 mm in diameter works great now all you have to do is buy an old nextel phone and scrap it for the speaker.[]

Okay well i got it all glued together and it fits into a film cansiter. I have my wire connections held together with wire nuts right now. I will solder them tomorrow. I have tested the whole system and it works great. But what is the easiest and safest way to solder your own switch to the board?

The only things i need to do are:
    1. Secure my blade holder
    2. Solder switch to board
    3. Drill two small holes on the bottom of the canister for the + & - to the LED
    4. Solder all of the connections
    5. Every good list has a 5
    6. Insert and secure the switch
    7. Stuff it all in there
    8. Put on an endcap with speaker.

    Thanks for the help all![8D]
