We recently joined the great Lakes Garrison at an event of theirs in the Grand Rapids, Mi. area. The local AJ's Family Fun Center hosted a Star Wars Day to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation:
The young Padawan and myself!
The Garrison had set up a photobooth, a blaster range and the Jedi ran a Jedi Academy class. I assisted at the Academy.
The students borrowed training lightsabers from the academy and when they had demonstrated the basic moves we instructed them on, they graduated and recieved a "Diploma."
We also tried to instruct some Troopers on the proper way to handle a lightsaber, but unfortunately, they failed miserably.....
I also made my way over to the photobooth between classes:
My Padawan also tried his hand at one of those "uncivilized" weapons at the Blaster range:
I think he got him....
We then played a round of mini-golf:
I thought I'd try my own "putter" for this shot:
A shot from the top of the golf course:
The Clones and stormies also played a bit of golf:
and practiced at the Blaster Range:
and maintained order at the go-cart track:
They also joined in the fun at the photobooth:
We also had some Denizens of the Empire join us for the fun:
We saw them attempting to steal some type of watercraft as well....
Blasted Jawas will take anything that isn't bolted down!
