Thread: Collimator Lens 5° viewing angle

Default Collimator Lens 5° viewing angle

Can anyone tell me what the difference is from 5 degrees to 10 degrees? What's the difference and which one tends to work better?

    Hey Reaps'

I can tell you that you probably want the smallest angle which equals the tightest beam. That way your blade will be lit more evenly. A larger angle, or no lense at all will result in a bright flare at the base of your blade, and ther rest of it will be alot dimer.

If you look at the pics on this site you will se the difference.

Thanks a lot guys... exactly what I was looking for. Didn't see that site, must've been in the older archives or something. Anyway, thanks again.

By the way, Madcow, cool sabers on the Genesis site. xwingband, what's your website about/dedicated to?

It's not my personal site, but one I participate on. The main parts is a Roleplaying board. It's like a mix between paper roleplaying games and fanfiction. My character is in the infantry (GSU- ghost soldier unit, a historic WW2 unit we borrowed the name from). The Dewbackwing is also a host to ASAP (A Site About Props). It's one of the best prop boards and where people like Corbin, Photon (Ionsabers), and many others you don't know came up with Luxeon sabers.
