    Default Yoda disassembly Tutorial

Yep, I did. And I only had it for 24 hours.

Step 1. On the opposite side of the black know there is a pin. Drill it out. When kits are done it will be tapped with 8-32.

Step 2. Unscrew the black knob. Take off plastic cover where the switch is. 2 screws are underneath and. Unscrew them, unscrew the big screw and take off control box.

Step 3. Slide black sleeve up to reveal a pin. Push it out.

    Step 4. Pull out innards.

Step 5. Push out 2 small pins on opposite sides that keep the 2 pieces together.

Step 6. Roll down O-ring on top of metal guard. Remove metal guard.

Step 7. You should now see the end of another pin, flip saber over and push out pin.

Now you can remove blade and such. Any questions please ask. I will make better pics eventually.

All I know is that the 1.25 blade holder fits nice inside.

Hey I would really like to convert a FX. But I am not sure if I should. Like is it worth it? Do you think I could do it? Thanks!

Are most of the FX made out of plastic or metal?

I've heard that converting a Yoda FX to a Luxeon is a really bad idea because it's weak. I just got my hands on a Yoda though and I think I'll be following your disassembly too.

I'm really curious about turning it into a Lux even if it's only for a resell or show. As far as I can tell the weakest part might be this black plastic shroud and how you can't fit a polycarbonate tube very deep inside the short blade. Any tips or opinions?
