Help - MR Sound wiring = I'm stumped

I looked at my 616 and it looks like there's a solder connection on the underside - from the ground (GND) to the clash (Hit) What I want to check is whether or not that is supposed to be there or if I just let the connection get to hot when I pilled the pins out.

If anyone has a 616 (that works) can you check to see if the GND and Hit pads are supposed to be connected?

I'll check it out...

False alarm.... not it. I open the "bridge", but that wasn't the problem.

Are you insulating the heatsink under the LED in any way?
