Custom armor pics

Hello everyone,
I was asked some time ago to post pics of some of the custom armor I have built over the years. Again, all of it is recreations of midevil armor made of ABS for the purposes of full contact, full force midevil weapons combat in the SCA. So enjoy and let me know what you think...

My roman Lorica Segmentata-


The Samurai armor I spoke of- He has it partialy covered by a tabbard, but you can still get the just of it-


A suit of plate, it has a crest on the chest he has yet to paint-

A few shots of me. One in the start of a senario(I'm the one with the blue flamed helm/helmet), and another my Wife got close up, in case some wonder what I look like-

Damn! you caught me... Wait- *(waives hand in front of you)*- You never saw me, and when I do scare you, you WILL PEE! Ok, the pee part may have been just for fun, but if you do see me in your floor you should stop looking at your floor. I am not a pretty dude...

hang on a second...sca...i think i remember you from some bad company training session that lasted two weeks. did you ever work for _____?

if it wasn't you, i remember a dude that probably was one of your opponents/comrades. when everybody had to state what they did for fun, he replied, "i put on armor and beat people up." gotta love that.

i do have one question, sca. what do you do, if you have a slight break in the action, and you gotta take a whiz? do you tend to your buziness or watch out for enemies?

No I wasnt that dude. Besides, I would never use a comment as barbaric as "Beat people up". I would have used something more elegant like "Cain in war mode, Cain want SMASH!" See how much more sophisticated that sounds?[]

As for the "have to pee" question. We have to pee constantly. I tell all of our fighters if they dont have to pee they need to be drinking water. If you have to pee you are fully hydrated and not at risk of dehydration. The curse of fighting in armor, in direct sunlight, in 100+ degree weather.And when you gotta go you gotta go. You could always run to the porta-john and struggle in there, or (as I have been guilty of on more than one occassion) meander off to the side of the field, pull your cup aside, let it go, hope no one is watching, if so smile and wave, and if female-wink. No offense intended to the female persuasion. At war chivelry is reborn and modesty goes out the window.[] And yes, watch the whole time to make sure no one clubs you in the back of the head while your not watching...

The blue cote-a-plates is me, the grey is my friend Brendon the Red. I made both suits with 20 gauge galvenized plates, leather and hamer-down rivets and six layers of trigger cloth. I also made the chainmail shirt and coif, and several of the weapons and the shield below, modified the helmets, strapped the steel-plate pieces, etc, etc...

Sweet armor guys. I should probably build myself some seeing as how ahrd me and my friends fight with the lightsabers[]

Guys really nice looking armor, very well crafted and looks to be correct for the time period along with the weapons.

You guys armor looks so cool I don't even know what to say! I'd love to build a suit of that samurai armor! Where do you guys live? I live down here in Arkansas. It's nice, but most of the people around here are into NASCAR and WWF (or whatever it's called now - "wrastlin'"). If I say sushi they say "su what?" Anyway...it looks like fun. []
