    Default My emitter plugs

I came up with this idea a while ago after seeing one of Yoda’s from fx-sabers.com graflex conversions, it came with an emitter plug that light up when the saber was turned on.

So I decided to try and make some of my own and here they are:

They consist of two parts, a 1" long section of 1" thick walled polycarbonate and a 1" long section of 3/4" aluminium round bar.

I had to put the round bar in the freezer over night and then sand the inside of the polycarbonate to get the round bar to fit in. I then had to sand the out side of the polycarbonate so that it would slide in and out of the blade holders easier, they were a bit too tight before and would get stuck in the blade holder and the only way to get them out would be to dismantle the lightsaber.

As for the plug for the gralfex, I drilled a hole in the aluminium for the stock graflex emitter pin and glued it in place. I makes it look more stock.

I think they turned out pretty good. So what do you think?

Those are very nice. Very professional looking and give a "finished" look to the saber for display. I'll have to look into making some of these as well.

Gee, if only we all knew someone who could make something like this and offer it for sale to the general public...hmmm...

Here's my version. This is such a simple part, but it's interesting all the different twists each person takes.

I think they look rather good.!!

good ideas, mixed with regular stuff..

did you cut the 3/4 thick x 1in. length of aluminum round bar yourself?

I will definately be making some.. thanks for sharing.. its a great idea.

so if you tip it upside down does the plug fall out?

if not how do you get the other (not stemmed) ones out?

    update:

I wet to your site (still loading)...lol

but I see you used Flash?? You should have created the Saber Builder a long time ago.!
