Anyone can buy a MR Vader Fx, I prefer a saber that is hand built.Originally Posted by vortextwist
I understand but sometimes cost is a difinative factor. I picked up a heiland and just waiting to have money to get parts.

I understand about cost, but I just like the hand built sabers better. I like the look on peoples faces when they find out that you built it.
Nice job Luke.

You said you picked up a heliand I'm confused I thought vader's saber was made out of a MPP (MicroPrecisionProducts) flash tube and not a heliand.
The Heiland is the American version of the MPP. They can't confirm it wasn't used because some variations are so close, but it's still an acceptable substitute. The coin edge endcap version and one-step shroud versions would be extremely hard to tell from an MPP.Originally Posted by JediHilt
Heck it wasn't THAT long ago they figured out the ROTJ saber was a dressed up graflex. There are constant mysteries in what was used for the props. (hehe, wanna bring up Obi's saber?)
