Thread: Speaker Mounts

    Default Speaker Mounts

    Its alway the simple things.

I have my soundcard all wired and it works, but I shattered my speaker mount trying to put it in my hilt. Is there a "right" way that I'm screwing up? If I mount the speaker in the mount, the pommel doesn't screw in. When I turn it over the pommel screws in fine, but the speaker mount seems upside down to me. Sorry to ask a really dumb one, but I'm so close to being finished I'm sure I missed something obvious.

face the speaker cone into the beveled part of the mount, this way the pommel isn't resting on the edge of the speaker and it will fit better that way. if it's just a matter of the mount not seating, you can sand the sides so it will slide in better, but keep in mind the more contact with the sidewalls of the hilt the more resonance you will get.
If you refuse to bridge the gap, You will always be on the other side.
