Thread: 1 done 2 to go. My newest MHS's

Default 1 done 2 to go. My newest MHS's

Here are three I've been working on. One is almost done just waiting for a bubble strip. It has A Maul Sound card and LUX III Cyan (more on the green side).

The next one will have MY CFv3 and use a Rebel RGB. It will be programmable for any color variation. I will also use Three Power extenders.

The final will use a RGB (but only R and B), Joe Jedi sound board and a power extender. You may be able to tell what I'm going for with the looks of the pieces not together. I'm having some thread issues with that one right now and I'm waiting for a thread cleaner.

    So what you think?

Hmmm, maybe a Mara Jade hilt with the R and B LEDs combined for purple. That's just a guess though

Nice sabers Grayven. Did Tim to the holes on the neck of the style 8?

    new stuff

My Mara Jade is almost done. I FUBARed my grips. Started out all good then had three grips drilled and taped, checking for straightness as I go. Then it happened, the bit slipped and I miss drilled a hole. I should of stopped and walked away. Instead I just got pissed and kept going. Needless to say it got worse. I have emailed time to see if he can do some more custom work for me, so it may be savable. Until then here it is.

Actually, I kind of like the fact that the grips aren't perfectly straight, but I know how you feel. I've had several pieces of my sabers not line up when i'm done, and it bothers me. Although, it does add to the impression that the saber was hand built!

I agree, that saber looks killer, but if everything were perfectly straight it would look more "factory" built. The hand built look adds a bit more realism...it's still a good job there, and now you're making me want a Mara Jade...

    Thanks guys.
I don't want a factory look but something that does not look like I just picked up a drill for the first time. From about 5 feet away it's not bad, however I always see the uneven screw heads and the slanted grips. I want better.
I have some cosmetic pieces that have to be added, but I'm hopping Tim can Remake me a New Hilt first. I would love to have a second try at the grips.

Sweet Mara Jade saber dude! Y'know if you want, you could probly have tim make the grip like parks did theirs. I think the cut the grips into the hilt from one solid peice. I dunno, just an idea.

If I ever do a saber with a purple blade, I'll definately do what you did with the RGB red and blue only.
