    Further... for whatever LEDs are used that are NOT on any given chart... refer to the manufacturer's specifications.

    The "best and brightest" current is also often referred to as "Max Continuous Current".

    It is also a factory estimation, and never accurate down to the mA. Something rated at "1000ma" might be better at 900ma or at 1165ma. But the specification is something tried and true... and will suit the needs of 98% of the folks using 'em!
