Default Plastic Shroud/ switch box Idea

I am working on my Yoda saber and need something made out of plastic to go over the MHS center section to mount the switch box to.....

My first attempts were to use PVC connectors, but size is the issue. TOo large, too small. I decided to try to drill out a smaller one to get it to fit, and that worked like crap......the bit heated the plastic(even on lowest speed in the press) and warped the plastic. The bit also dug through the side---it was very thin.....

My second thought was to buy a delrin rod and drill it out, then turn it to the diameter I need. I have a friend who MAY let me use his lathe.....seems like a lot of work for a simple thing.

Are there any hardware parts that would work for a snug fit OVER MHS sections? I spent about 30 minutes prowling the aisles at Lowes w/o luck.

    Thanks,

    bd

Well the metal sink tubes fit perfectly, you might try a plastic sink tub.

That was too easy.....I'll check after work......man I hate when I get so obsessed with finding an answer, I am way to close to think clear....
