Two things, Kant, just for gee-whiz-it's-good-to-know:
1. Anyone CAN ship to APOs - they're stateside addresses, the military takes it from there... it s just a matter of WILL they ship to APOs; it takes a while to get down range sometimes

True. Sometimes I fail to make the distinction. But it's a popular myth that APOs are international addresses - they're not, they're considered US adresses.

2. If you're having trouble, you can use www.shipitapo.com - you set up and address with them and they send it to you.

again, comms troops. DoD firewalls don't necessarily affect entire servers, especially ad hoc setups (i.e. contingency ops). a well compensated comm guy/gal could be a soldiers best friend...

Time for another question, and I think this one may actually be semi-intelligent.

I've decided to go balls-to-the-wall on this, and am looking at getting a CF board, power extender, and an additional LED for a clash effect. (Go me?)

The two questions I have, after flipping through the CF manual, is what type of LED should I be looking at? And how the frak do I mount the sucker? (Not really married to the idea if it's unfeasable, but it'd be pure awesome and win.)

I know what parts I need, but my question was mainly about space - is there room in there to mount a whole second star/collimator/mount assembly, or is there a second solution I'm missing from its being blindingly obvious?

He could be trying a flash in a crystal chamber? Don't know... A second star to me seems like overkill. High brightness 5mm's are really good for lighting up the inside.

If he actually means like Erv demo'd with Rebels and such... I agree with Marsupial then. A wait for proper optics is better.
