Default MHS #1/ Powdercoated + luxeon.

Ok here she is, I know its probably a sad excuse for a first mhs saber but its good enough to sell on ebay I think. All it needs is a speaker and she's good to go. Just so you all know the grey powdercoating is much lighter, but I couldnt get an accurate pic with my camera. To start us off I'll show my custom machined mps insert. This has maul fx board [courtesy of Vortextwist][Thank you], lux lll green led, thick walled tcss blade, blue and white led + chrome holders from radioshack, and a 4 AAA batt pack modded to be a 3-cell.

I love the pommel insert. How did you do that? Also, the indicator leds as switch guards is a great idea!

The blue and gray go together well. I was wondering what color you were going to make the rest of the body when you first showed the blue piece.

As for the pommel my nieghbor works for westlands water district and he can make just about anything, he made it on a milling machine. I cant upgade to a k2 or a rebel becuase the mr board doesnt pump out enough current. But as a side note the pics were with mostly drained batterys.

The powder coating looks good Dacota. Love the speaker insert. Question though, weren't you doing a sink tube overlay for this saber, or was that a different one?

I like it-- I would have gone with a blue LUX to match the hilt. Green looks good too though.

I was but I couldnt work with the brass tube[its hard to dremel], but I got an idea from someone here to use a 1.50 aluminum tube from onlinemetals, then if I just bulk it up with some o-rings then I can fasten it down with screws. Too late now though, but I will on a future saber.

Oh and the maul board wil power a rebel just fine? I thought those things required alot of power?
The two leds on the hilt both suck up 30 ma or less, so the lux lll does lose some power, but not much. I might order a green p4 for it though.
