i think corbin just rolls up the film and shoves it in poly c. i have one of his strips, 3 inches wide rolled it and stuck it up the polyc and those super bright pics of the vader saber i posted, remember them?, thats with corbins film stuck in a polyc tims blade. no other diffuser than that.

I was about to build one with iridescent film but you beat me to it. Dang. [8D] Well now I know where to get the good stuff.

Here's a pic of my saber using PCV film I got at Michaels. I cut the film intp 34" x 30" sheets and buffed them with steel wool in a pattern that means more light is diffused in the dim spot.
Only problem is that the shiny look of the film reflects ambient light.

I just tried this a couple of days and I can't figure out why it won't work. Could you post some pics of you putting it together MadCow?

I'll post a comparison pic when I get a chance, but I found a substantial difference in brightness between Michaels shrink wrap and the clear celophane (which i believe was polypropylene) that I used in my most recent experiment. I got it from a florist shop and for the price of a junior bacon cheeseburger they gave me 4 yards. The difference in the two films was astounding.
Cheers
