1a.) the 'female' side of the ribbed extension.. how LONG is that 'un-ribbed' portion?

if anyone has one can they give me a quick measure??

1b.) are the ribbed extensions wide enough (ID) to house any/all electronics one would want/need? (sound board...speaker...etc..etc.)

Im just to finalize my build/order (again), and the 'correct lengths are going to be vital on ordering and making the covers.

1a I just measured the "unribbed" female side portion on mine and it is slightly more than 21mm slightly less than 22mm [closer to 22mm]...thats on the outside which I assume by your question is what you are asking?

1b I know the inside will fit my Ultrasound v1 board...and I have read that the Ultra MLS light module will fit in it but I dont own one to check so I cant say if they would both fit at the same time nor do I own a CF to say whether those would fit...some of the rechargeable battery packs sold here say they will fit in it too as I recall.

I don't have calipers, so hopefully ruler & eyeball is precise enough - regarding question 2, just a hair over 15mm.

2a. Just bought that piece myself. The unthreaded section of the male end is just a bit over 1/8".

ok.. now Im confused..

I was first told that blade holder #2

above the threads.. (so still the part that is roughly 1.45 in .in width still)

was a hair over 15mm

which is 0.5906 inches....no? meaning a little over a 1/5 inch?

the ther is 1.5 inches above that (ribbed/grooved still to the top?..correct?)

also.. for the RIBBED EXTENSION..

22mm = 0.8661 inches..right?

so almost 1 inch of non-ribbed section? and the totle length (not includeing threads of course..just added length to over-all hilt) is 3.7 inches? (minus this almost 1 in. of non-ribbed?.. so only 2.9 (roughly) of ribbed section on that whole piece??


is this correct?

0.5906 inches is close to 5/8" (19/32" is really close). So little under 1.5 of ribbed would be correct. 0.8661 inches is close to 7/8" (27/32" is really close). just guessing you were looking to grab you tape measure/ruler.

To clarify:


15 mm is 0.59 inches. 2.5 mm is close to 1/8 of an inch.
