Thread: RGB leds?

    Default RGB leds?

    Hey,
I was wondering if one of these could be used in a saber build?

That's very interesting. Yes, you should be able to use it. The trick is driving it at 350mA per channel.

Not sure how it would work with our optics. All three LEDs are under one dome, and they are closer together than in a Rebel. Might work. For $6.14, I might get one and play with it.

Hmmm... Much consideration this will take. Some more learning I must do.

Thanks for replying. I'm not great with electronics so maybe I'll wait and let someone else try one first.

It looks and probably performs like a pro-light, just on a generic star.

I'm not familiar with the pro-light. How does it rate for sabers?

(I did a search, but didn't turn up much.)

OK, thanks. I was thinking of trying one with my RGB flashlight driver. Might be brighter than the LED it came with. For $6, I'll try it.
