I like the middle one. That or the second from bottom. If you do that, I would paint the whole thin neck instead of part of it. I've got mine like that and it looks a whole lot better.
I try to think of function first so, I would say only paint in areas that dont come in contact with hand and fingers to avoid the paint rubbing off or getting nicked by rings while spinning. unless if you like the "weatherd" look then it dont matter.so i think you should just paint in the grooves, and leave the neck down polished.
I like 3 & 4. The black grooves look best, IMO.
I like the one in the middle. Second from the top looks nice too...
I like the middle one the best. I just haven't ever really liked a color other than black on a saber hilt. Excluding the KP of course

I like the one in the middle as well, simple schemes always seem to be the best IMO.
