    Default sound board question?

Hi there, I was wondering if I could run a K2 LED (kit) and power it by using a MR or Hasbro sound board with the K2 resistor? Thanks.

yeah kinda but not to its full capacity. That is what I've been told or have read by others and what not. So don't hold me too it best to stick with Lux 3 for the MR boards and what not.

Mmm, what if I took the Yoda sound board and the Luxeon 3w driver and did a set up like that, would that work? Thanks!

The 3W driver will under power the K2 almost as much as the MR Board. I am having a similar problem attampting to drive a Red LUXIII to full capacity. Even though you wont be able to tell it's under powered unless you get one to full power to do a side by side comparison.

The driver will only put out 1000 mah thats 1amp. the mr board puts out 900 mah.

Even in the end your not gonna notice that difference.

If you like the way Erv does his you can get a nylon spacer at you local hardware store. The next thing you need is the top of a lamp, a finial. These are usually made out of brass and look like half of a sphere but there are ton more on the web. Inside this sphere you will see threads, used to thread onto the top of a lamp to holg the lampshade on. Get yer trusty hot glue gun and glue the nylon spacer into the lamp shade sphere.

I would suggest bringing the recharge port with you to the store so you can match up the hole in the spacer with the peg in the port.
