Thread: Switches, Drivers and an Obi ROTJ Sound Module...

Default Switches, Drivers and an Obi ROTJ Sound Module...

So I was just wondering if anyone knew what switch I should use and how I should do the wiring if this is what I intend to do, or happen at the least:

    1) I'd like to add a Obi ROTJ sound module. Do I still need the corbin driver?

    2) If say I did, and wanted to make it so that the sound module still acts like it does in the original hasbro (turns on with the switch, stays on until interaction and then the vibrations and sound output) while -Simultaneously- turning on the EL wire... which switch should I use?

3)Is there anyone who's done all this before and kinda has a good diagram for the wiring most? Of the ones I've seen I'm still kinda confused by it all...would someone be so kind as to point me to the right post?

There is still the problem of the switch for the EL needing to be latching and the Hasbro is momentary. Tim said somewhere he was looking into latching relays to fix that.

Well so far I have not had luck using latching relays. To latch the relay you have a pos to one terminal and the negative to the other which closes the relay but in order to open it you have to reverse the polarity which I could not figure an easy way of doing. I need to take a electronics course lol.
