Thread: 2003 vader power source conversion.

Default 2003 vader power source conversion.

I was thinking of using one of the AAA battery holders that is for sale here at the shop. would it be possible to still use the 2003 MR vader FX board with either the 4AAA battery holder or perhaps a 9v battery holder and the premium speaker instead of the stock 6 battery holder. Is this possible or will i need any other electronic components? Lastly, will the custom heat sink and blade holder (the annodized black one fit inside the 2003 vader hilt? thanks to anyone who can help!

suprised no one has answered this for you but yes the 4aaa battery holder would work fine. im sure you have already figured something out by now and this is probably useless info now lol

Im leaning towards a 9 volt battery to power my ANH 2003 vader. The way i see it, the 6 AA batteries in the stock holder amounted to 9volts anyways (1.5 x 6 batteries). Thus, in theory the MR board should be able to handle a 9 volt with a blue luxeon III. Is this assumption correct or have i not taken something into consideration that would kill my sound board?

    9V!?!?! NO!

All LED blades were 4.5V regardless of the amount of batteries. It was two paralleled sets. This is a hold over from EL that did need 9V.
