Thread: Anakin ROTS blade color

    Default Anakin ROTS blade color

There seem to be a lot of threads on blade colors, but I'm looking for a specific one. A lot of pictures I see online seem to be conflicting (camera issue, maybe?).
I need someone to tell me what LED color looks closest to this picture from ROTS:

in my personal opinion it is the royal blue. I think just regular blue has too much green in it.

Camera is somewhat of an issue. Each one is different...[xx(]

It is kind of a toss up. Blue may not be dark enough but Royal Blue not enough. Look at the complete blade pic in the store. That's a good pic for a blue.

Hmm... This IS going to be hard... Well, at least I can narrow it down to Blue or Royal Blue.

Take a look at the posts above in LED colors/blades. Tim has this set up with just pics of the blades lit up and with what diffuser is being used. That should give you a basis to start on. Personally, I think Obi's is royal blue and Anakin's is blue but that is just me.

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">Actually, they changed the colors for episode III. Obi-wan was royal blue for sure in episode I, but by episode III they had changed it to better match Luke's ESB saber.

I'm just trying to find the color of that exact blade.

Once again, I'm getting conflicting pictures. Both of these (both from TCSS LED Colors/Blades section) are supposed to be blue:

One is much more cyan-ish than the other.

However, this is a picture of a Royal-Blue from the colors/blades section:

I think it looks pretty close. But I know that these pictures can be deceiving at times, so can you guys tell me if it looks accurate?

You could just buy both and see what looks best in person[]
I couldn't decide between blue, royal blue, and cyan so I ended up buying all three and used them in different projects. Also on an unrelated topic, the cyan looked viridian but that could of just been an off batch. -ANYWAY- the pic looks like regular blue imo.

Okay, I've set the two colors up next to the pic so we can see:

    ROTS screencap:

    Royal Blue (left): Blue (right):

It looks like royal blue to me, but then again, there's that camera issue...

My royal blue saber is built, finally and I'd have to say looking at it in my dorm room, it's pretty close to what you're looking for. I wish I had a digital camera, but it seems I spent all my money here! lol[]
