I did that same conversion before I noticed this thread. i didn't use a resistor becuase I noticed the resistor on the hasbro board. tetmatek, did you notice any difference in power with the resistor on?
Should I still use one anyway?

I know that this is a semi old thread, but I need to ask a question (if anyone is still paying attention).

I did this conversion, and for some reason I have to press my switch twice to power up, and twice to power down. Is there a certain way that the switch needs to be wired? BTW, everything else seems to be working just fine.

Don't beat me up over this, if its already been answered somewhere else. I've looked around on this site now for about a month and haven't come across anything like this, so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for helping the newb,

    -Shawn []

    EDIT-

BTW, its the black TCSS push button switch (if that matters at all)...

if your using a hasbro board, it takes a momentary not a on/off switch to operate. you cant use a on/off switch as it wont work right and thats probably the problem. go to radioshack and find a momentary switch and swap it out.should be good to go then.

    Thanks guys...

It actually works fine, you just have to press it twice. You think that it will present any sort of a problem in the future if I were to just leave it that way?
