Default First saber almost done. Blade tip and glue question.

First off I want to say thank you to Madcow, Jonitus, and Novastar for helping me a bunch even if they probably don't realize it.

The pictures are kind of bad because they were taken with a digital camcorder.

(more pictures here) and in the gallery section under custom sabers. I pretty much just need to finish painting it and assemble the blade.

    Questions about the blade tip:

-I bought tim's round mirror and I want the blade tip illuminated. Do I just drill a small hole in the center of the mirror so that some light passes through?

-I purchased some weld-on 3 (w/ an applicator) to glue my tip onto the blade tube. The can says it's water thin. I'm wondering if people have had problems with it running down the blade, and if so, how it can be prevented.

Scrape some of the back of the mirror off. Drilling is a bad idea if you have the plastic/glass/whatever it is one.

For no drips... use a syringe and carefully apply it. It only needs a few drops. You will see it flow around the seam.

Awesome. I just glued the mirror to the tip. I'm gonna wait till that dries though before I put it onto the blade tube. The tip seems to be a really, really snug fit.
