    Heres a Luke ANH K2 converted FFX saber that popped up on eBay, MR's cant handle K2's right??

    Handle it? They can power it, you just aren't getting the full potential.

    Hey xwing, I have a different view. An MR can actually handle about 7.5V at 1500mA. Long use time might heat it up a bit, so it's best to turn it off every 10 minutes or so, but if you input the juice, it will come out at the other end strong enough to even fry a K2. Yeah, personal experience in case you wonder how I found that one out

    Gelu, you've pumped 7.5V into a MR

    Generally, MR boards won't take above 6V without letting the magic smoke out.

    I think your definition of "handle" is a little different than most peoples

    You can overdrive a lot of electronics, but you will be reducing it's lifespan, sometimes quite severely. Most components are rated below what they can actually handle but above their "maximum" they can begin to vary wildly in their durability. It can take only one component blowing to kill the board and if it takes other components with it it can kill it pretty irretrievably.

    MR K2 hahaha seen it tried in person against a simple K2 LED kit yeah not very bright. haha that and my lux 3 was brighter hahaha
