Save Camden Market!

I know this will only effect afew people on here, but this is so close to my heart that I have to ask for help from everybody.

For those that don't know, Camden is a part of London where you can still see Genuine Punks/ Hare Krishna & pretty much every other walk of life living in absolute peace.

It also has the greatest market you will ever find for clothes! They have everything for the fetishist to the distinguished gent and all in between.

THE COUNCIL WANT TO TEAR DOWN THE MARKET & PUT A SHOPPING CENTRE THERE!!!!!

This market has been there for close to 150 years, the area was previously a horse hospital & train depot, & they want to make it look like every other town centre in the country! So as well as great shops, this part of town has Historical value too!!!!!!
This cannot happen!!!!!!!

I'm asking for everyone, especially my fellow Brits, to sign this petition & hopefully stop them from ripping the soul out of the greatest town in existance!

that would kill some tourism wouldn't it? I mean if I had the chance to go to london, that would be one of the places I would like to see. That would be like tearing down the Eiffel (sp) tower and putting up a traffic cone. WTF

My sister lived in London for a year, and she shopped there a lot, including a couple of Christmas presents to me. Of course I signed.

you have some canadian supporters.

I hope to use that as a precedent to protect future conversion of markets elsewhere in the world. I know I'd hate they change some of the markets we still have around here.
