CF Sound Fonts by Novastar & CF OWNERS!! :)

SWEET everyone!

This thread is going EXACTLY as I was hoping. What I should do soon enough... is add some of these fonts to the poll and hope someday that we can essentially "direct" all CF purchasers to it for the following reasons:

1. Have fun seeing what fonts people like most.
2. Well... do they even KNOW about the additional fonts??
3. Encourage them to create more themselves.
4. Share fonts they've created or modified.

And Angelus... NONSENSE that one font should be deemed "better" than another. Especially when comparing apples to oranges. I mean, I don't like my Chainsaw font as much as I do Blackstar or Phoenix Pyre... but for entirely different reasons, the Chainsaw *IS* better than both of them!

That LoWang font is GREAT! I completely forgot about that game, and I never bought it long ago... but should have! heheheh Perfect example of CF "uniqueness".

Also--the Predator font Flynn HAS to check out! I've already told him about it...

So anyhow--yup!!! More fonts = better! And the more unique each one is... that's 10x better...

That LoWang one had me BUSTIN a gut!

The Predator sample is dope! Nice. You know, I need to look into getting a board to program, 'cause I'm getting some new sound designing tools and have been thinking about what Talek's blade sounds like.

It sounds very good, Jon. Really like the Force choke effect you have on there. Hopefully it goes up on Erv's sight very quickly, so it can make it onto my new saber that X-Wing is working on.

UPDATE: "Electrostaff" font on its way very soon...

Originally, I was thinking to have it "double" as a kind of lightning sword, but... I think they will have to remain separate to be effective...

Added another version of the LoWang Saber soundfonts. This is version 5. This is a change in the clash, blaster, lockup, poweron, and poweroff sounds. I think this one is much better..

Thanks Nova, I guess I get too self-critical at times. And as these new fons are proving: no matter how crazy the sounds, there's people out there who'll like it.

I used the Chainsaw font on Halloween... lol. People were like: "where the hell is THAT coming from??!?!?!"

For what seemed like ages, no one believed it was coming from my saber. They thought it was some house playing scary movies/soundtracks, hahahaha. But you're right Angelus--some fonts are just for fun, and others will be more "staples".

I don't expect too many people to be using Steel Sword and Kung Fu alot... but they are there to verify and enjoy CF's insane and robust "configureability" if there is such a word.

Well I'll make use of steel sword! Used to do sword fighting a lot. At the risk of inflating your ego: when I saw erv's demo video with that font, that was the moment I knew I had to get a CF.

Thats what I think because I got really weirded out by these abnormal saber fonts but at the same time it would be fun to swing a sword or chainsaw around, even without the blade and just the scary chainsaw in the middle of the night thing.
