I split this from the gallery thread.

Ellen, good to see you post! I hope that new saber has given you the saber building bug.

    Very cool!

There were afew Twi'lek at CE, but only one had decent Lekku.
She said hers were made for her by a rebellegion affiliate out of latex.
Most others had just stuffed tights with cotton wool.
I'll try to post a cupla pics that I got if I get the chance later.

I need to figure out the Lekku and get my twi'lek costume done. I don't feel the male twi'lek population is represented enough.

I thought I posted a reply to this, but it didn't show up for some reason ...

Anyway, mine are sewn from a pattern I made and stuffed with styrofoam microbead filling. The pattern is made so that the curve is built in and there aren't any huge folds in the fabric where they bend over behind the head.

A few people had latex lekku at C4. They look a lot more realistic, but they're quite stiff. I wanted something that had more movement.

I can share the pattern with anyone who's interested, as soon as I have access to a bigger scanner.

I always wondered about how the Lekku would be made and those look great.
