ProLight 4W RGBY Emitter
Whilst researching for a LED to install i my very first saber, i came across the ProLight 4W RGBY Emitter.
Would i be able to use this or would i be better off using a standard Luxeon 3 white with coloured disks?
Also if i were to use the RGBY, can anyone suggest a way of operating the colours without the need for loads of switches?
Thanks,
Stu

hey that LED looks like a cool idea. what sort of modifications would be necessary to make it fit in a TCSS saber hilt? 4w is hotter, right? what sort of battery power does it require?

In my search for the perfect switches for my project, I came across a series of small rotary switches that might fill the bill. In a Graflex mod, you could theoretically mount it in one of the famed "blade adjust" locations. The wiring of the switch could be a little tricky, and since I don't know what the terminals on that multicolor are like, I can't answer specifically your question, except to say go to digikey.com and search for switches, then apply filters as you think fits. Good luck!

Yeah, but consider, Xwing, that the hole could be drilled out for the rotary switch and a twister knob machined, MAKING the blade adjust knob actually functional. It'd be a little tight inside, but I bet you could make it work.
