    I wouldn't drill your hole till you screw the blade holder on, with the heat sink between it an the hilt, to see exactly where you want the blade retention screw to be. I like to put my retention screws in line with the switch, but you might want it on the side, or opposite the switch, it's up to you.

    And don't put your hole too low in the blade holder, the higher, the better but not right at the very top.
    Boy, I'm glad I found this. I'm going to order a #3, and I thought I could put the screw in the flat area between the grooves and the threads.

    Yeah, I think you might have a hard time keeping the drill bit on a flat spot between the grooves, even if you use a center punch. It's naturally going to want to try to go into the groove.

    well thats sort of the idea but i dont want the o rings to stick out that far. those rings just rest over the grooves. i want mine to actually fit IN the grooves.
