  1. #1

Default Red compared to red orange?

How do the two compare? I ask because I have a red in my Vader but Iv been debating having red orange in my Mauls. IS brighteness around the same?

Also, how orange does red orange get?

with the film, i definately see a orange hue, but with Tims diffuser tube, it almost appears as a MR vader or maul in color. the tube seems to take a lil off the orange side of it.

at least between the 2 blades i have one with corbins film and the other with tims tube, using the tube it looks like a uber brite version of a stock MR.

It depends more on the bin differences than anything else.

For those reading this--look around the threads for more information on bin numbers and therefore wavelengths (measured in nm) of light.

If you've noticed--a "blue" LED can be very close to a "cyan" LED, depending on many factors (including how "hard" you drive it).

If you have a red-orange bin that is close to a red bin--your eyes will barely tell what's going on... if at all.

Also--look up the luxeonstar site and look for the .pdf that had to do with any given Lux spec, especially for "binning and labeling".
