MR sound power needs?

Anyone here have any luck adapting the Master Replicas Force FX sound modules into custom sabers? How much power do they require, how much more power would I need if I were to tap into a battery series already driving a 3w Luxeon driver? (five AA)

I've built custom sabers with the MR board before.

Just power it with 4AA's (6 volts). It will juice the Luxeon to full amperage without overloading the board.

That's great, Ultra, thanks a bundle. I suppose I should have pointed out that I've got Corbin's Luxeon 3w driver and a star/III LED. His wiring diagram calls for 5 AA's, not four. Do we know why?

If you're using Corbin's driver then you need to hook the sound module up to the driver board and power the driver the way Corbin states. How to hook it up to the driver depends on which MR board you have and I would suggest you email Corbin about that.
