Mace Windus 05 Saber

OK, I measured the blade on the Windu saber and it descends 2 1/4 inches into the pommel.

Strydur, what do you think?. Can this one be made to be removeable?.

I will do a mace as soon as I get time. I am sure I can do it..but it will probably be like the luke and I will have to machine part of the hilt also making it a conversion service only.

Ishtob, -What color LUX are you using for your mace in the picture? And is that a LUX III?

Does anyone know how bright the LXHL-LH3C Red-Orange III Star - Lambertian is, compared, lets say to the MR Luke ROTJ? and which is the brightest LUX?

And Does anyone know whose diffuser works best, Tim's or Corbin's "film"?

The converted mace would be a white LED. Probably a 3W (can't tell for sure with a pic), but ishtob can tell you for sure.

Any 3W is brighter than any MR if you run it at full amperage. Comparing across colors is very hard though.

All about Tim's development in finding the diffuser he now stocks. Tim's vs. Corbin's is basically preferance. The tip is the weak spot in Tim's diffuser but when the reflection is finally worked out it will be great. In effect though the choice is even EL type look vs. tapered look with a white core.

I'd like to know how you did this, Ishtob...I recently bought a Mace on clearance for $45 and I would love to convert it...

...how will you know the light unless you have seen the dark? How will you know the good unless you have flirted with the evil?
