along similar lines does anyone know how much room is left between the electronics/battery pack and the inside wall of the MHS sections? i want to get a smaller tube and make cutouts in my hlt so the smaller internal tube shows through the MHS section. i would also like to insert strips of leather or use a special textuerd paint to give the internal tube a leather look. any ideas.....

Umm in the store parts will say if they will fit inside what. and a 1.25" sinktube will fit snug inside the mhs.
You can get away with an mr board and ultras board but I think a 5W setup is out of the question on this one.
But a k2 is just as good if not better than a 5W.

There isn't a huge amount of space inside a MHS system hilt - it's quite easy to use it all up.
Rather than cutting the MHS (which'll be really hard) and putting a tube on the inside, how about painting the MHS black and putting a tube with cut-outs over it?
