optimal hilt length

So, if, going by the Katana standard you said, my ideal hilt would be 10 1/2" long.
What's the best way to get it with the MHS, because I either come out too long or too short, unless I don't count the blade holder (and let's face it, we're going to hold the saber that far up)

Well, I have been having some issues with the MHS builder, so I can't really say as I haven't been able to find the perfect combination for what I want either. And I have been hoping someone would fix the script so I didn't have to do it by hand .

My only guess would be to commission a custom piece if you can't make it work with the standard system. Guess it depends on your tolerances.
