k2 lens holder

ok ive searched high and low, no answers.

I found some k2 whites on ultraleds.co.uk
he seems to only have 1 lens holder...but tcss has a lux3 and a k2 holder...

are they that different? i thought the k2 and lux 3 are exactly the same in form factor...even the luxV for that matter...

shed some light please.

Well the emitter of the 3-watt is round whereas the k2 is square so the k2 holder is made to fit the k2 and the 3-watt holder has a round bottom center to fit over the emitter.Go ahead and buy one or both and you'll see the difference.

id much rather buy from tcss usa than the uk...
and a proper lens holder, the guy was like "ya the k2 fits the luxIII holder but you gotta file it down..." great sounds like fun.

dj... there is no getting around having to do SOME kind of work on any given Luxeon LED saber... whether it is custom-made or not.

Don't be surprised if you DO have to "file down" some optics someday.

I buy the K2 optics holders as they are easily available to me and cost the same as a normal holder. In fact a K2 will fit over a normal 3 or 5 and once its glued down it makes no difference.

Also if you really have to trim then a sharp knife is much quicker than filing.

oi novastar, easy bruv, i am a hard worker man it was just a question...im on my 4th saber, 2 of which were not mhs or mr...i know what im doin and run a massive machine shop which is handy for sabers...
