Wow, I've never seen those before, either....just the stills. Really makes you feel bad, knowing what happens to Biggs later in the film after seeing how close of friends they were.

I still need to listen to the radio drama, clone wars tv show, holiday special, and that cartoon one way back in the day. susposed to be boba fetts first appearance in SW.

They're pretty good scenes, but I can understand why they're gone. They really serve no purpose, but to establish that Luke's just a kid from Tatooine, and Biggs is his friend.

but after 20 minutes of Chewbacca's kid grunting, I got tired. There's no story, no dialogue... the vast majority of it is spoken in wookie, which sounds (quote from the writers "like fat people having orgasm"

the holliday special is REALLY a mistake. It sucks like a vacuum. Georges Lucas pretends it doesn't exist. I agree, it should not exist. Its definately not part of the star wars universe.

BACK ON TOPIC:
As far as the deleted scenes, I understand that they had been cut, but they're cool scenes. They aren't mandatory for the storyline. Yet I like to see that tatooine girl looking in the macrobinoculars, its kinda "who the hell is she??" since we don't see many girls on tatooine.

When George puts those scenes back in for the latest DVD release, I'll pick up a copy.
I want the scene where vader picks up Lukes hilt in ROTJ put back in.
(if you look at the 'under the stairs' scene, Vader has lukes saber in his left hand as he taunts him)
