Nothing is impossible. I'm sure there is a way to open the saber without "wrecking" the clash sensor.
The sensor is just a spring contact that helps to complete a circuit--so even if it IS damaged... it would be easy to replace with a mockup.

I didnt ruin the clash sensor on mine. But they are a pain to take apart either way.

There ya have it. I remember a Mace I took apart being a pain in the arse...
I still think it would be great to see a Yoda conversion... especially if it could be a 1" OD blade one...
