Thread: Mystery Lightsaber

    Default Mystery Lightsaber

    Can anyone identify this lightsaber?

I got this picture from eBay. I'm not trying to sell this item since i don't own it anyway). But I thought the discussion would be good.

    [quote]
This is for a FULL-SIZE Star Wars lightsaber replica. Why pay for a half-sized piece when you can have this full size (approx 12" long) prop based on the actual Darth Vader lightsaber from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I believe this is a Master Replicas piece (cant be sure though) as it looks to be an FX Lightsaber with the blade removed. Made almost completely of metal, this piece has a nice weight to it and would make the ultimate cosplay prop.

UPDATE: I have been told by watchful eBayers that this is actually an Anikin Skywalker lightsaber from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. My friend, however (whom I actually got this piece from), said there used to be a red blade attached to it. The Darth Vader lightsabers I've seen here on eBay have a black tip but look otherwise exactly like this one.

Now I told the seller that it was NOT an FX Anikin because MR did not produce this version. Other clues like the red blade being attached, D-Ring and Covertec belt clip button, and smaller tube. I think it's a custom made Anikin saber.

    What do you guys/gals think?

Yeah it does look inga like the EP2 ani saber but it almost resembles ANH which I think is what the ANH was modeled after.

It is a MR Anakin EP II which of course means it was blue EL if it was an FX saber. It COULD be one of the limited edition hilts though in which case it would be a real sweet treat.

That's an Anakin AOTC. If it did have a red blade, then it was definitely modded.

Is it possibly one of the Ani customs made by Ultra?

I have one of those Anakin v1 sabres still in the box, fully working. Should become a collectors item itself one day as the first of the FX sabres ever made
