Thread: Man them plastic retaining nuts for the switches really suck

    I have one of those brass retaining nuts you speak of. I like the way it looks.

    I got if off of a friend's Ultrasaber. (using Tim's MHS parts) When I replaced the switch for a better one that Tim carries, I asked if I could have the brass nut.

    In order to get a lower profile in the switch button, I then put the original plastic nut on the base of the threads, then put the switch through the hole and put on the brass nut. Now, the switch button doesn't stick out quite as far.

    I did the same thing J-Lo. It has a nice look when the nut goes to the top of the switch body.

    Thats what I did and thats how I lost the retaining nut. it dident stay on.

    yes but most people put a switch in and leave it, not take it in and out 300 times.

    well if everything could come out without having to take the switch out that would be nice.

    Found a site that sells these switch nuts and bezels. I believe they'll fit the switches Tim sells. He may want to carry them.
