    Default Usage of saber fonts

    Hi,

Quick question... is there any copyright legality I would need to be aware of when adding new fonts to a saber build and then selling it? Some fonts incorporate sounds from the Star Wars movies and would seem to fall under copyright concerns.

    thx...

If you purchased the fonts, and sold them with the saber, that’s fine.

There is a place of debate a little about selling sabers with soundfonts created by other people. I tend to hold the belief, if you are selling a saber with someone else's created work, you need to pay royalty to them, just like the person buying the saber would have had to do if they did it themselves. If it your own saber it doesn't matter(or if you sell your own down the road) but if you are doing commissions, I build that Into my costs
