    Illumicore Crystal Question:

Wiring up to a CFX. Do I just tap the data line and wire up to power ?
Or am I oversimplifying things ?

Basically, for parallel wiring, yes. Page 123 of the most recent manual has details for both parallel and series wiring options.

    Thank you for the response.

So next question. Am I going to be utilizing the data out pad ?

depends if you are going to have the pixel in line with the blade pixels or parallel.

I want it to mirror blade color and effect.

Let me rephrase. Do you want the crystal to be considered by the board the first pixel of the blade, or do you want it to share the config of the first pixel of the blade?

Ahhhh. First pixel on the string

Then yes, you would run the data line from the board to the crystal, then from the crystals data out to the neopixel connector.

silly question, wiring the pos/neg are both "in" lines wired from board and "out" lines to the blade?

You should probably run separate power lines, or bring the power lines from the blade back to the crystal. If you do wire it through the crystal, make sure you solder the wires together, don't rely on the chip to carry that much current.
