Thread: Best printed chassis?

  1. #1

    Default Best printed chassis?

How many of you have built both a Graflex Goth 3Designs and also a MB-Sabers printed chassis? And of the two which did you prefer? Which gives the larger visual impact/appeal?

Haven't done a build with either one, but Goth3D printed chassis are definitely considered among the best in the hobby. Hands down. They are pretty much the go-to for the major replica hilt manufacturers for any runs they do. They also have multiple different price ranges and difficulty levels for many of their chassis (especially their Graflex ones) depending on how many bells and whistles you want for your build and provide installation instructions for each of them. The Mentor, which you have linked to, is I think their highest-end Graflex chassis at the moment. I'd also recommend checking out their site for more info on each chassis.

That being said, this response being on the forums here for TCSS, I also feel obligated to mention that TCSS does have the MHS Buildable Chassis system as well, though I know it's designed for MHS parts rather than a Graflex, so I don't even know if it's applicable here to be honest.

The TCSS sabers use a buildable chassis (I've built 2 so far), but it lacks the artistic detail of the custom 3D printed chassis from MB-Sabers and Goth-3Designs. Is there a better forum to discuss this kind of question?

The TRA forums will probably be your best bet. FX Sabers is also an option, but traffic there seems to be waning.
