    Default Probably a simple question

So a friend of mine from works wants me to build him a desk/shelf saber prop. With no working internals for a blade, he does want the power button to light up. My question is would the switch work if I wired the switch directly to a standard double a battery holder? I know if I wire just the positive and negative that power the led it would stay on but how would I wire it so that the switch being pressed controlled the switches led?

Your switch will have 4 posts: 2 for the switch, 2 for the LED. Simply wire the LED like you would any other.

Same way as loading a relay, you can jump the positive from the feed to the pos side of the coil so when it flips it feeds positive when neg is supplied to the coil. Or opposite if you need a neg feed.

Wire the batt pos to switch input and switch out to LED pos. Then wire batt neg to LED neg.
