Thread: My resistor math

    Default My resistor math

Does the follow look ok? (I've been told that amber should require higher value resistor than the white but my math says otherwise)

    Amber Tri Cree = 3.28 @ 1000ma
    3.7-3.28/1.000=.42
    -------------------------------
    .5 ohm resistor is ok?

    White Tri Cree = 3.15 @ 1000ma
    3.7-3.15/1.000=.55
    -------------------------------
    1 Ohm resistor is ok?

Yes to both. You will generally have to round up a little, since not every single resistor size is commonly made.

Thank you..it seems the FV of amber dies is constantly changing. My research was telling me I was incorrect, but alot of it seems to be outdated.
