Troubleshooting advice..

I've wired a couple of pico crumble builds up recently..I didn't like the way one of the speaker sounded (Only during SFX, bootup and beeps sounded normal)..SFX sounded very grainy/staticy

With the chassis out of the hilt, checking the speaker I noticed,on occasion the board would immediately shutdown to sleep mode (No shutdown SFX, blue light would stay on as if turning it off)....
While I'm prepared to go through every connection has anyone else experienced this? I'm pretty careful with my wiring so I'm worried it something that will be more difficult to diagnose.

Head up..thinking it is low battery...I thought I had charged this one but maybe I charged the wrong hilt.
