Weathering a saber

Ive managed to weather a lightsaber using aluminium black and im doing another saber for my brother and he wants it too look more weathered in a desert setting so how would i go about that

If you mean dirt, try powdered pastels. I’ve used on other props. Adam Savage has recommended fullers earth as well.
