Thread: chassis for axial mounted recharge port & momentary switch

Default chassis for axial mounted recharge port & momentary switch

Anyone know if this kind of chassis already exists? The idea is to support a saber design where, after taking off the pommel, the recharge port and momentary switch are exposed.

If not, I can probably get Shapeways to 3D print some, but if someone has already debugged these, wooo. Not to mention that I haven't thought about the issue of how to affix the jack & switch to the chassis - make this part extra thick, maybe?

You would want it to be thinner for mounting the switch and jack, so the supplied nuts would affix them. Why would you want to take the pommel off to turn it on? Where is the speaker going? Im sure TCSS would laser cut it for you a lot cheaper than Shapeways would 3D print it. I could be totally wrong too. If that diagram is to scale, i could make it out of Delrin.

Momentary switch would be for soundboard functions, not for power. I rarely switch sound fonts.

This is a reverse sound idea I'm noodling with.
